Special Visitor! The Sock Monkey Turkey!

Here is a fantastic resource to keep those math and literacy skills sharpened all summer long!!

Whatcha Doing, Stink Bug?
Do you have stink bugs in YOUR classroom? I do! My students are really into catching these pesky little critters. When caught, they emit a really stinky spray - thus the name STINK BUG!!! I love teaching in the moment, so I used this opportunity to help my students delve into the world of "RESEARCH." We used the library, books, the internet, and a local university entomologist speaker. We learned that the stink bug was apparently accidentally introduced into easter Pennsylvania. The first stink bug was collected in Allentown in 1998. We were so fascinated by all we learned we wanted to present our knowledge in some fashion. So, I combined by passion for Reader's Theater with our stink bug research project am presenting the following . . .
